Mini Wooden Handlooms

Discover the craft of weaving with our new portable looms.

Purl & Loop specialises in the design and production of weaving products so when we got chatting to the founder Angela Laswell Smith, a collaboration seemed like the perfect idea! 

Together we have created these Wallace Sewell branded, portable mini looms ideal for beginners and experienced weavers.
The wooden handheld looms are easy to set up, versatile and can even fit in a purse, backpack or briefcase for weaving on the go! 

Each Kit contains:
1x wooden frame (18cm x 16.5cm)
1x wooden needle
1x metal needle
1x canvas storage bag
3x Wallace Sewell ribbon bundles
1x cotton warp yarn
2x dowel stick for hanging finished sample

With step by step photo instructions, it is easy to set up the loom and start weaving. There are examples of how to add a fringe to your finished piece, how to hang on the wall or use as coasters. We have included a selection of our selvedge ribbons in the kits and you can buy more individually, but you can use other chunky yarn or experiment with other materials. Weaving on this scale is a great way to use up odd lengths in your yarn stash to make unique pieces.
The finished woven fabric will be a maximum of 15cm x 15cm.

Presented in a box, with everything you need to get started straight away, these kits would make wonderful gifts for adults and children too!
