We Love... Colour!

A long, long time ago, when we first opened our shop, we used to host a regular event called 'We Love...'

Emma and Harriet would curate a selection of joyful items that had a natural affinity with Wallace Sewell and display them alongside their products, for an alternative retail experience. It was a great way to discover something new, and a chance to see Wallace Sewell products alongside other original homewares.

The good news is... we are bringing it back, starting with a natural choice:
We Love... Colour!

We have chosen two British companies that share our love of colour, so expect an extra bright and vibrant retail display over the next 6 weeks.

Block Design began in 2000, shortly after lead designer, Tara Ashe graduated. Combining her passion for design with an engineering background, Block Design creates a range of functional, beautiful lifestyle products. Featuring gorgeous pops of colour, their products are designed to slot into your everyday life with ease. We have curated a selection of their delicate glassware and candle holders.

British Colour Standard has a fascinating history, originally established in 1931, the company was re-established by Jackie Piper & Victoria Whitbread after discovering an old colour dictionary in an Oxfam shop! This long-forgotten brand has been brought up-to-date with contemporary design-led gifts and products for colour-lovers. All their designs are created in-house in London using the original 1930s colours and names. We have chosen a selection of their striped dinner candles made with Fair Trade, high-quality coloured vegetable-origin wax - no soot!

As well as our 2023 retail collections, we will be showcasing some beautiful, breezy summer scarves that echo the colours on display.
